Delaware Right or Delaware Wrong?
So, rule #1 for me is don’t name names. That crap can come back to bite you in the ass in a heartbeat and it seems that my ass is always the one to get bitten no matter how clean of a nose I have. Never done a drug, never had a criminal record, 3 degrees, and I generally keep to myself. I know, I sound boring but I’m a real fun girl. But I have a big ass so maybe a bite or two wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Anyway, it seems there is this other blog set up in Delaware for political purposes. Don’t fall asleep. I HATE politics but you might be interested in what I have to say. A little background on the blog will help though. The host of the blog has several tabs to let his groupies know what this site is all about. First, a So what are we talking about section where he summarizes by saying “Not a damn thing”. But to get into the meat and potatoes you have to go to his About Us tab where he claims that “they will develop and communicate a message directed toward all constituencies, by building coalitions, to SUPPORT the best candidates” “by effectively generating local excitement” “where all ideas are welcome” “toward our goal of moving Delaware forward”. In their mission statement they boast on the communication of ideas in a forum where people can disagree without being disagreeable and to put forth ideas to move the political process forward. The host says we cannot become close-minded and must be willing to listen as well as speak. Then there is a big long list under the rules tab which is just comical because they follow none of them.
You might be asking, what in the world are you doing writing a blog about a blog? Well, of course someone very close to me has found himself a subject of this blog recently. The events in the blog are nothing that wasn’t in the local news. My rant is about the blog and the host and what is being allowed on this site. For an average citizen who would like to move Delaware forward and share ideas and look for solutions it is disheartening to see that this blog has simply turned into a low rate National Inquirer. The public officials they claim to support are literally being exposed, kicked when they are down, and salt rubbed in the wound. Multiple newspapers released a story on a Thursday about a local politician. It was all over social media, the news, and the talk of the town. Although, still on people’s minds, the dust had somewhat settled as bigger news happens every day. The host of this blog, a self-proclaimed “friend” decides to post his story on Saturday and stir the shit pot once again. Well, you know what I say about those who stir the shit pot? Lick the spoon jack hole!! Of course other “friends ” had to post the link on their Facebook pages just to continue the local buzz. Yes, they have Facebook. They are old cronies who probably don’t know what Snapchat even is. I’m surprised the host didn’t send them out when the poor guy flew back in town to be the Poppop-razzi.
Anyway our county has real news like murder, child abuse, stabbings, DRUGS, sex trafficking…..oh, well let’s keep this BS story about an unintentional incident highlighted because you THINK you know somebody. Hey, Mr. Irrelevant I didn’t even recognize you when you said hello to me. Guess you are not as much of a friend as you thought you were. These people like to be friends when you are important and they are like a fucking disappearing act when you are just a regular person. By the way, I thought you would want to report on what is really going on around you so you could come up with ideas and solutions. But it’s the last week of our legislative session why would that be productive….MORON!
Anyway, the story drew interest to this blog and the host. Not only does he not follow any of his own rules but every poor person that comments he takes the time to pick out pieces of their comment, put it back in quotes, and comment below belittling them. Um, insecure much? For someone who claims not to be close minded apparently you can only be open minded if you agree with him. He also claimed to know what his friend’s family needed yet stayed hidden behind his keyboard and never reached out to this person’s family knowing that the real backbone of their family was hundreds of miles away on business. What a pal. He watched as this generated an even bigger shit storm on Facebook where other friends made even more horrible accusations turning a molehill into a mountain and turning a straight as an arrow, genuine person, that would have done anything for these people into a monster. All of these people have lived lives they can be judged for or have friends that I could have exposed on social media for committing intentional acts. It’s called class. Regardless of how well you know the person, if they are a friend or and acquaintance, they have a family that will suffer from your harsh words just leave it alone. We all don’t agree with our justice system but we all are entitled to face the music, tell our story, and let the justice system do it’s job. Working where I do I have seen career criminal to first timers, blue collar to white collar get sentenced or get a break. It’s just sad that it’s a regular guy with a fancy job that makes the news then gets shit on by his friends.
Frankly, with friends like you who needs enemies.
